This is the time of year where I hunker down and chillax!! I'm not a big fan of cold weather, mainly because I hate snow boots and coats and instead, love flip flops and swimsuits. Winter requires me to bundle up more than my inner spring/summer child wishes. However, with this season comes some of my most favorite things outside of my bed and sofa. (SN: I can't help but think of my all-time favorite movie, The Sound of Music. Since I was a little girl, anytime I needed a mood lifter, I'd sing this song :-)
These are a few of my favorite things...
I also have a nail polish fetish and the colors of the season are awesome! It's fun to accessorize with nails. Be bold and loud with it. Neutrals, don't mean you have to be boring. Hot pink is my basic color! Unfortunately, my nails have been sad and weak lately. I just got some OPI Nail Envy to bring them back to life. Hope it works!
I found this ring dish on Etsy and it's so cute and compact. I'm still getting used to being a ring gal and tend to take my ring off in the house sometimes, like when I'm cleaning. This keeps me from losing my precious rings.
It's the last month of my Shutterfly calendar with our oh-so-fab engagement pictures by Wale Ariztos. Throughout the year Shutterfly always has great deals. I got this calendar for free and lucked out on another freebie last week and ordered my 2016 calendar with our wedding pictures. Today you can save up to 50% on calendars (enter code: CYBERSAVE).
Panera hot chocolate is like a remote tropical island in a cup!! Yum yum yum!! There are lots of calories in that one cup, but it's worth an extra 30 minutes on the treadmill for sure!
The season is not complete without cozy PJs. It's the only bundling up that I enjoy. My most favorite lounge wear can be found here: Victoria's Secret. They are actually on sale for the holidays. Thank me later ;-)
Of course my cozy PJs go perfectly with Netflix!!! Currently binging on Master of None. Super funny and entertaining! Check it out for a good laugh.
I love to jam to holiday music during this time (some favs: Mariah and Ceelo), but for now I'm still rocking my Adele CD. That voice!! Still not sure if she will bless us with a tour, but I can't wait to see her on Dec. 14 for her one-night only show at Rockefeller center. I'll be in NYC that weekend. Maybe Santa will allow me to run into her.
What are a few of your favorite things that make this season more merry and bright?
