Planning our next vacation...HELP!!

So we've started thinking about our vacation for 2016. There will only be one major trip for the year, since we are saving for our new home. So this trip will be birthday celebrations and wedding anniversary all in one. Looking for a location that will give us some relaxation, culture and fun. Also, want to go somewhere neither of us have been before. Remember in my 16 before 16 blog, my goal was to finalize where we are going and book it. Well now I need to make a decision and cross this off the list by next month.

Out with the old, in with the new...

Wall art in our NYC hotel..Loved it!

"Take a deep breath and hold a piece of sky in your mouth." How perfect is this as we are about to cross over into a new year with new possibilities and opportunities. I'm excited for what 2016 has to offer. I started 2015 as Miss George and I'm ending it as Mrs. Givens. My life since the aisle has been such a blessing. A huge adjustment, but it's come with the biggest reward ever. I'm jumping into 2016 with both feet and with my eyes wide open. Even greater is coming...

Happy Holidays!!

It's our 1st Christmas as Mr. & Mrs., and I'm so excited to spend the holiday with my husband! We started a Christmas tradition of exchanging ornaments our first year dating and it's amazing to see how many we have accumulated over the last 4 years. I love looking back at all our memories that we have created and look forward to greater to come. One day we will share this tradition with our children and the whole tree will be full of ornaments!! We're gonna need a really big tree :-)

Your wedding day is almost here, and you need to make sure that every detail is perfectly arranged. Organizing a bachelorette party may be a pre-wedding event but it is definitely just as crucial as planning a wedding. Exotic entertainment is a thing of the past and rivers of alcohol can make you have no recollection of one of the best nights of your life. If you are looking for something out of the ordinary and still don’t have a clue – don’t worry. Guest blogger, Peter Minkoff from High Style Life, has come up with five winter bachelorette party ideas that are indeed relaxing and entertaining at the same time. Enjoy!

My 25 year old self would be shocked at my life right now. She had so much planned. She set this timeline of who, what, where, why and by when...Married by 30. Then take a year to settle into our new life and enjoy each other. A baby, maybe twins by year 2 of marriage. Then buy dream home and live happily ever after. Retire early to travel. Finally, live to be 100 and see our great-great grandchildren. Sounds like an awesome life right!? I've always been a dreamer...

Hello there, December!!

This is the time of year where I hunker down and chillax!! I'm not a big fan of cold weather, mainly because I hate snow boots and coats and instead, love flip flops and swimsuits. Winter requires me to bundle up more than my inner spring/summer child wishes. However, with this season comes some of my most favorite things outside of my bed and sofa. (SN: I can't help but think of my all-time favorite movie, The Sound of Music. Since I was a little girl, anytime I needed a mood lifter, I'd sing this song :-)
